BoatTector's Galvanized Steel Anchor Lead Chain is hot-dip galvanized for durability and corrosion resistance and constructed with oversized links with 1/4" shackles attached on each end. The use of an anchor lead chain enhances the anchor's holding power by keeping the shank parallel to the anchoring surface, helping to eliminate unwanted pull-out or anchor freeing caused by wave motion or boat drifting. It also limits abrasion between the anchor and anchor line. Please note that this chain is not rated or designed for overhead lifting applications.
