The Prestolite IDD3001 D65 with the coil is a battery power ignition for use with sensor triggering. It requires Phase 2 Rotor, packs for 4- cylinders. It has a volt battery charged by an engine-driven generator to supply electricity. This battery power increases the voltage on the ignition coil, the device interrupts the current from the coil, and the distributor provides current to the correct cylinder. Some minor rewiring may be required for the Tachometer circuit.
