Safety experts caution against the unsafe practice of siphoning petroleum by mount, warning especially that it can result in loss of life. Beckson's answer was to invent the Siphon-Mate pump; a combination displacement lift pump with valves suitable for transferring fuel. Model #109A is supplied with a 6' clear tubing solvent welded to the intake and a 3' clear tubing solvent welded to the outlet. Tubing may be cut to the desired length. Its right angle foot was designed for using the pump in tight spaces. Intended for use with kerosene and diesel fuels. This pump is not intended for transferring liquids over 120°F (49°C) or for solvents that will attack PVC.
