The Aluminum (3851442) Propeller is intended for use on all gasoline and diesel engines equipped with the DPS, DPS-A drive and has a maximum speed of 35 knots.

All engines with speeds more than 35 knots should use the stainless steel Type F Propeller. Volvo's DPS (Dynamic Positioning System) outdrive is meant to assist in maintaining position and providing smooth propulsion in turbulent water.

NOTE: Volvo Duoprop Propeller Sets of Type D are being phased out in favor of Propeller Sets of Type I.

It is not authorized to mix Type D and I propellers. Always utilize the same propeller type and size (or on both drives in twin installations).
