Sierra's 18-9874 Drive Shaft Preload Tool preloads the drive shaft bearing when checking pinion height and backlash. It is designed for use with Mercruiser MC-I, R-MR, Alpha I, and Alpha I/Gen II stern drives and outboards. Includes one drive shaft preload tool per package. It is interchangeable with Mercury Marine 91-14311A04, 91-14311A1, 91-14311A2, and 91-44307A1. Each Sierra product meets or exceeds the original equipment part it replaces.
