The Rule 800GPH Standard Bilge Pump works on the impeller resistance principle. The pump is non-automatic and must be used with the panel switch or rule float switch to prevent air locking. It also includes a hidden air vent to prevent air locking. The pump is submersible, with an ignition-protected shaft made of stainless steel. The built-in thermal cell protects the pump and the vessel when it becomes too hot. They have threaded discharge ports for installation and snap-in components for simplicity of replacement. The shower drain box is simple to install, includes a removable filter for cleaning, a sealed clip-on cover to avoid undesired water splash, and is fully maintainable without using tools.
