This rope has a twisted (or laid) construction that gives it greater strength than braided ropes of the same size. The opposing twists in fibers and rope give it structural integrity, but make it more susceptible to abrasion damage. Polypropylene is a synthetic valued for its exceptionally light weight and resistance to rot, mildew, fuel, oil, chemicals, and saltwater. This product is intended for non-critical consumer applications. Not to be used for overhead lifting, or in applications with a risk of death, personal injury or property damage.
