Dutton-Lainson's DL1802A (14627) Winch is a hand/manual/pulling/ratchet winch for horizontal pulling applications. It has an 1,800 lb. weight capacity and a 9.5" offset ratcheting handle with an ergonomic handle grip. The DL1802A Winch features freewheel operation for easy line removal. The patented reversible ratchet allows cranking of cable or strap onto winch drum in either direction. A clamp kit is included to install the cable onto the winch drum. Other features include: 1-1/8" drum hub diameter, 5.4:1 gear ratio and a 9/32" x 58' cable size and reel capacity. NOTE: This winch is built for horizontal pulling applications. Features a zinc plated TUFFPLATE finish. For vertical lifting applications, order a brake winch, a worm gear winch, or a StrongArm electric winch without a clutch lever. D-L pulling winches are not recommended for lifting applications. For lifting, use a D-L brake or worm gear winch. D-L winches are not to be used as hoists for lifting, supporting, or transporting people, or for loads over areas where people could be present.
